Chamber Currency is like the ultimate gift card, offering you the freedom to support our local businesses and stimulate our community's economy.
Here's how it works:
For Chamber Members:
- Free Listing: Chamber members can join the program for free. Being listed as a participating business is your key to accepting and benefiting from Chamber Dollars.
- Boost to the Local Economy: Each year, this program injects over $25,000 into our local economy. Large employers use it for Christmas bonuses, channeling their support directly to the community.
For Individuals, Organizations, and Businesses buying Chamber Currency:
- Easy Participation: Individuals, civic organizations, and businesses can also embrace Chamber Dollars. Simply inform our office of the desired amount and denominations (typically in $5, $10, or $20 increments).
- Payment: Once we print your Chamber Dollars, you can write our office a check for the requested amount.
Using Chamber Dollars:
- Flexible Redemption: Businesses can choose to keep Chamber Dollars for as long as they want or redeem them at their convenience. When you decide to redeem them, visit our office or mail them in.
- Full Value: Businesses receive the full-face value of Chamber Dollars, treating them like cash when customers use them. For example, if a customer buys a $12 item with a $20 Chamber Currency, you provide $8 in cash as change. We reimburse your business for the full bill amount.
- Open Acceptance: All Chamber members can accept and receive Chamber Dollars, whether listed on the back or not.
Integrating Chamber Dollars:
- Seamless Integration: While accounting practices may vary, many businesses have successfully integrated Chamber Dollars into their systems. It's a fantastic way to attract new customers who might not have otherwise visited your store.
Supporting Our Community:
- Local Impact: By embracing Chamber Dollars, you not only benefit as a member but also contribute to our community's prosperity. The Chamber is here to facilitate this program and proudly supports our local economy.
